LAMARR WOODLEY HOSTS BOYS & GIRLS CLUB KIDS AT GAME SUNDAY AND TOY DRIVE WITH ZIGGY HOOD & SPECIAL GUEST PLAYER BENEFITTING CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF PITTSBURGH MONDAY

WHO:
Game: LaMarr Woodley hosts B&G Club kids at the Dolphins game
Toy Drive: Steelers’ LaMarr Woodley, Ziggy Hood, Special Guest Player
 
WHAT: Game: LaMarr will be inviting the six winners from his Sack Attack Literacy Initiative to the Sunday, Dec. 8 game against the Miami Dolphins. For the second straight year, LaMarr gave 200 children from the Boys & Girls Club of Western PA two new books and reading materials through program partners Reading Is Fundamental Pittsburgh and Scholastic. He also continued the program’s essay contest, in which the top essays were chosen and the winners were picked to come to the home game against the Dolphins, along with their chaperones.
 
Toy Drive: Members of the Pittsburgh Steelers, including LaMarr Woodley, Ziggy Hood and a Special Guest Player will lead the toy drive from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9 at The Mall at Robinson. The players will sign autographs in exchange for the donation of a new, unwrapped toy (valued at $10 or more) to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UMPC’s Child Life Department. The toy drive will be located on the upper level of The Mall at Robinson, near Macy’s, and all toys and any additional donations from the two-hour event will benefit Children’s, a nationally recognized pediatric hospital. One autograph item per person and one autograph per player please. No photographs with the players.
